The Magnate is a custom playbook for Blades in the Dark by John Harper, designed for the Unusual Suspects Jam. 

A Magnate focuses on using their wealth and authority to force others to do their dirty work. They balance on the knife-edge between the underworld and legitimate business, and always manage to walk away from a job with their hands clean.

Touchstones include V.M. Varga from Fargo, Leviticus Cornwall from Red Dead Redemption 2, Tony Soprano, and all the historical robber barons who broke the rules in the name of industry.
