A Festive Starting Score for Blades in the Dark

“As I watched your ashes drifting,

I learned life’s pleasures die away.

I will be grateful for this day.

I will be grateful for each day to come.”

—Traditional Hymn

Brightstone’s citizens wait all year for Gratitude Day. Doskvol treats the holiday as a riotous celebration of life, far from its dreary Imperial roots. Thronged masses gather in Unity Park to stuff themselves at the public feast tables, and petit-bourgeois shoppers come to blows over discounted luxury goods at shops across the district.
The capstone of the festival is the Procession of Gratitude - a riotous parade leading to the Church of the Ecstasy of the Flesh's Sanctorium.

With Brightstone’s finest distracted by the parade, your crew snuck into the winding catacombs beneath the Sanctorium. Unfortunately, getting out with your score won't be so easy.
If you can fight your way back to the surface and past the revelry of the Procession, you’ll have a lot to be grateful for.

Gratitude Day is a score for Blades in the Dark. It can be used as a one-shot for a holiday game, or as an alternate starting scenario for a more spiritually inclined crew.
